ABOUT KATIE WOLK
RMT, CMRP, RH

I am a Registered Massage Therapist, Registered Clinical Herbalist, and most recently became a Certified Matrix Repatterning Practitioner.
I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2006 with an Honours B.A. in Medical Anthropology.
My interests in complementary and wholistic health, community development, and the healing potential of plants led me to various work and volunteer opportunities in Toronto, ON, San Andres, Guatemala, and Shawnigan Lake, BC, and inspired me to enroll at the Living Earth School of Herbal Medicine in 2008 where I learned about the ethical and sustainable methods of harvesting and processing local plants into medicines for restoring the body's natural healing processes.  I work primarily with teas, tinctures - alcohol extracts of plants - and salves.  I am a Registered Herbalist through the Ontario Herbalists Association.

The key point that I took away from my undergraduate and herbal studies is that most of our health conditions are caused by stress in the body; so my next desire was to help people physically eliminate stress in order to address the root cause of physical conditions.  In 2011 I enrolled in Kikkawa College's 2200-hour massage therapy program and graduated with honours in June 2013.  I am licensed through the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.

In November 2022 I became a Certified Matrix Repatterning Practitioner through the Matrix Institute.  This technique gives me the tools to further solve the puzzle of pain and to treat structures beyond the musculoskeletal system, ultimately balancing the body's structural framework (the Matrix).
I have been living and working in Deep River since June 2014.
